Lauren Miller | Board Secretary
Mya (Miles) Collins | Board Member at Large
I (any pronouns) am a Chicago-based artist/producer/DJ passionate about merging my love for music, social change, and community activism. After spending four years in the city’s underground scene playing and helping organize shows, I was inspired to launch my own live music benefit series passion project TRANSDUCERZ and began working in event organization alongside my music projects. When taking any step at all feels unsure and overwhelming - I believe being in spaces and conversations with your communities - maintaining connections and creating support systems - can seem simple but is much more powerful than we think. In the face of those who want us separated, silent, and hopeless - I believe in choosing togetherness, visibility, and every bit of joy we can!
My artist name is DREAMGXRL96 aka MIMI DREAM - specializing in retro/neo-retro sounds in the following genres: inhale Boom-Bap Hip-Hop, Gabber, Jungle, Happy Hardcore, Detroit Techno, Juke, Ghettotech, House (Disco/Deep/Tech/Acid/French), Hyperpop, Vogue Beats, Eurodance, Trance, & Breakbeat. My hobbies also include composing scores and sfx for animation and video games using retro synthesizers, creating mixed media experimental techno, gardens, and trying new desserts!
