Ki Cameron(he, they)
T4T Open Mics Associate Producer
Ki Cameron (he/they) is a musician, producer, and performer with over a decade of experience. Since picking up his first guitar at 16, he’s been captivated by the power of live music and performance to connect people, shape culture, and build community. His journey has taken him from stages across the U.S. to cruise ships and international venues in China, Vietnam, Qatar, and the UAE. While music became his passport, his true path has been about carving out his place as both an artist and a trans person. For Ki, it’s all about creating spaces where trans and queer folks can show up fully, share their stories, and feel seen.
Offstage, you can find Ki blending creativity and care in every space he enters—whether it’s teaching beginner musicians or exploring his interest in bodywork. As Associate Producer for T4T Open Mic, he’s eager to keep cultivating stages where trans and queer artists can connect, thrive, and celebrate live performance together.
Gentle Applewhite (they, he)
T4T Open Mics Producer
Gentle is a multi-faceted, jack of all trades that's passionate about literacy, philanthropy, and accessibility. Who is gentle?
"I’m a living contradiction. That carries and says a lot about me, without saying much at all, so let me explain. I’m a young person with an old soul; blessed with wisdom but inexperienced; considerate and decisive; thoughtful but impulsive. I take my weaknesses and use them to make me stronger. I’m a contradiction, and I use it to my advantage.
My goal in life is to reach people; to express myself in a way that many people can understand me. Though poetry, photography, music, coding and much more. It’s art that drives me, keeps me sane and hopeful. Being a producer helps me utilize my variety of skills no matter what."
Gentle has over 5 years of experience in Event Planning, outreach and community events. They were the first chair Bassist in their high school Orchestra, have traveled around and out the country performing in Thailand. During their university studies, they pursued 2 BAs in Film/Television and Computer Networks. You'll see them occasionally at open mics, the library, or a ramen spot somewhere in our beautiful city.
