Gender Fucked Productions is hiring for a Director of Communications & Marketing. The Director of Communications & Marketing manages all social media for GFP, coordinates with project leads & designers, handles media outreach, and oversees the GFP website (genderfucked.org). This position is remote and part-time with a flexible schedule. Applicants must be based in Chicago. All are welcome to apply. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Social media management
Running the GFP Instagram, Facebook page, TikTok, and YouTube channel
Responding to comments and DMs
Accepting collaboration posts
Uploading content
Managing a posting schedule that collaborates with each project under the GFP umbrella
Coordinating with project leads & designers
Meeting with project leads to establish a marketing plan and posting schedule
Create content based on individual project needs
Outsource design needs to local graphic designers (when budget allows)
Adhering to the brand identity of GFP and the individual projects
Media Outreach
Generating press releases and newsletters about current and upcoming GFP projects
Utilizing earned media to boost the outreach of GFP’s projects and mission
Working in tandem with development on fundraisers and other donation-based projects
Collaborating with community organizations and individuals to uplift the trans community and the collective
Ensuring GFP’s outward voice is consistent in tone and mission
Website Management
Updating genderfucked.org with upcoming performances, auditions, workshops, and job listings
Ensuring accessibility and readability of the site
Solidifying brand identity across the website in voice and visuals
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with social media platforms (professional preferred)
Strong written and oral communication skills
Proficient with Canva
Experience with website management (Squarespace preferred)
Basic understanding of graphic design
Previous experience with email newsletters preferred
Ability to manage a posting schedule
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Previous experience with arts organizations preferred
Demonstrate a commitment to GF Productions’ mission and values
Position Type: Contract (6-12 months), approximately 10-20 hours per month. Stipend of $200 per month. This is what the rest of senior leadership currently makes. Any raise in pay they receive, this position will as well.
